I bought the book Graphic Design, Referenced: A Visual Guide to the Language, Applications, and History of Graphic Design by Armin Vit and Bryony Gomez Palacio. It arrived today and after a first glance I'm a bit taken aback by its layout and design style. Obviously I'm missing something (being an amateur and all). Can someone enlighten me?
